Why St. Mary’s Health System

At St. Mary’s Health System, we provide the compassionate and high quality care you depend on to diagnose and treat the gastroenterological issues and symptoms you may be experiencing. Our team of experienced physicians, nurse practitioners and support staff look forward to getting to know you, your circumstances and the unique health challenges you are facing. We will partner with you to develop a care plan that takes all factors into account and helps improve your health and quality of life.

Gastroenterology involves the study and treatment of your digestive organs. Some of the most common conditions we treat include heartburn, celiac disease, ulcers and pancreatitis. Regardless of your health condition or symptoms, we’re here to help. We will work with you to diagnose and treat even the most complex health conditions. We look forward to speaking with you.

A colonoscopy is an examination of the large intestine and rectum, used to investigate symptoms of intestinal distress and screen for colon cancer.

An Esophagogastroduodenoscopy, or EDG, is a short procedure that allows our team to examine your esophagus, stomach and duodenum. It takes less than an hour and you can go home the same day.
