A breast care center focuses on the management of benign and malignant problems of the breast. At St. Mary’s, we have close-to-home access to an advanced and comprehensive surgical breast care program, with a level of subspecialty care through the MaineHealth Cancer Care Network.
Procedures Offered:
Our breast health team assists breast health patients from detection to diagnosis and throughout treatment. We are dedicated to ensuring that women receive timely follow-up diagnosis and treatment, and provide emotional and logistical support to patients. We break down barriers to care and ensure that patients receive the support and knowledge needed to successfully navigate the health care system.
A multidisciplinary approach is the cornerstone of modern breast health care. Our breast health program specialists are comprised of surgeons, pathologists, medical and radiation oncologists, and radiologists. Our non-physician members include a nurse navigator specifically practicing in breast health and a social worker.
Our affiliation with MaineHealth provides our patients access to access to comprehensive services in the breast health journey.
