News & Events

St. Mary’s Health System has earned The Leapfrog Group’s 2026 Full Transparency Badge, recognizing the organization’s commitment to publicly reporting information about patient safety and quality through the annual Leapfrog Hospital Survey.

The Full Transparency Badge is awarded to hospitals that complete, affirm and submit all sections of the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, one of the nation’s leading voluntary reporting programs focused on patient safety, quality and transparency. By participating in the survey, St. Mary’s makes detailed information about its safety and quality practices publicly available, helping patients and families make informed healthcare decisions.

“Quality improvement starts with being willing to measure, evaluate and share your results,” said Michelle Bishop, Senior Director of Quality & Performance Improvement at St. Mary’s Health System. “By participating in the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, we’re providing patients and families with meaningful information about our care while reinforcing our commitment to continuous improvement.”

The Leapfrog Hospital Survey collects information on a wide range of hospital safety, quality and operational practices. The results are publicly available, allowing patients, employers and other healthcare stakeholders to compare hospitals using consistent, nationally recognized measures while helping hospitals benchmark their performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

“We applaud St. Mary’s Health System for its commitment to transparency,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “Transparency is one of the most powerful drivers of improvement in health care. By fully participating in the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, St. Mary’s Health System is helping patients and families access meaningful information about the safety and quality of their care.”

St. Mary’s Health System remains committed to transparency, accountability and continuous improvement by participating in nationally recognized reporting programs that help measure performance and provide patients and the community with meaningful information about their care.
