Behavioral and Mental Health Services

Our Emergency Department has a separate Behavioral Health Emergency Department attached to the medical ED that specializes in substance abuse and mental health crisis for all ages.

Your needs will be assessed on arrival to the department and treatment will begin in our Emergency Department as our Professional staff work to find the most appropriate treatment to best meet your needs. If we are unable to meet your needs at our facility local crisis agency has offices in our department to work with you or your loved ones to help find a treatment center that can best meet you or your loved ones needs.

Our Staff Includes:

  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners
  • Psychiatric Nurses
  • Behavioral Technicians
  • Crisis Workers
  • Security Officers

What Happens When I Arrive?

Upon arrival to the unit you will be triaged and medically cleared by the Emergency Department Provider and upon arriving to the Behavioral Emergency Department the Psychiatric Evaluation process will begin. The first step of the process is with our Nursing Staff followed by meeting with a Nurse Practitioner either in person or via tele-medicine on the computer. From this point the Psychiatric Team will determine the most appropriate recommended treatment and from this point will assist in getting you or your loved one the treatment needed. Psychiatric treatment begins in our department, you or your loved one will not have to wait until you reach your treatment disposition before starting treatment.
