To do this important work, the St. Mary’s Nutrition Center relies on key partnerships and dedicated volunteers. Each week, the team unloads and distributes thousands of pounds of fresh produce and other nutritious food from Good Shepherd Food Bank and local grocery stores. During the summer and fall we receive donations of fresh locally grown fruits and vegetables from Mainers Feeding Mainers, Androscoggin Gleaners, New Roots Cooperative Farm and other area farms. Our volunteer program provides a positive and engaging environment for people to gain skills, form friendships and support their neighbors in getting the food they need.
