Women Giving Back Enhance the Lives of Patients

Cornerstone News

Women Giving Back is a philanthropic group of twelve women who, since 2014, have selected a non-profit organization in the Lewiston/Auburn community to support each month. The member whose non-profit is selected contacts the organization, and a wish list of most-needed items is obtained. Each member purchases items from this list to help that organization aid the most vulnerable members of our community. “It has been a privilege to help with four programs sponsored by St. Mary’s Health System, including the Lots to Gardens Project, the B Street Family Health Center, the Clothing Closet, and activities supplies for St. Marguerite d’Youville,” said Founder Polly Robinson.

“Learning about the needs of our community helps us to live better our Mission Statement: Compassionate women giving back to their community by personally giving of themselves, through hands on philanthropy, in support of community needs.”

St. Mary’s is grateful to this incredible group of angels for enhancing the lives of those we serve. Women Giving Back members are Kathleen Cormier, Stephanie Upton, Pam Little, Sheryl Whitmore, Janet Joseph, Carol Ham, Joan Macri, Linda Cronkite, Marj Patrick, Celia McGuckian, and Polly Robinson.
