Muguette Coté’s Legacy is Exactly What She Hoped For

Wellness

Muguette Coté’s legacy comes from her deep commitment to helping others. Her generous bequest will enhance the lives of patients and residents at St. Mary’s for years to come.

Muguette dedicated her life to caring for her family, offering love and support to her parents, sister and brother as they aged. After retirement she found joy in volunteering at St. Mary’s. Her kindness and dedication to others will continue to inspire.

Her planned gifts will support several important areas at St. Mary’s.

Her donation will help fund renovations in our Day Surgery department. It will create a private space for surgeons to meet with patients’ families and offer a larger, more comfortable waiting room. At d’Youville Pavilion, her gift will support the purchase of a portable movie theater, giving residents more opportunities for entertainment. St. Mary’s Residences will also be adding an on-site hair salon, providing residents with a welcoming space for personal care and connection.

Muguette lived at St. Mary’s Residences for 10 years. “She loved the community and the connection with the church,” shared her niece Suzanne. “She was very religious and cherished her visits to the chapel. Muguette wanted to give back. Today her gifts are improving the quality of life and care for residents at both St. Mary’s Residences and d’Youville Pavilion. This is exactly what she hoped for.”

Muguette’s legacy is a powerful reminder of the impact planned giving can have on our community. We encourage you to consider making a similar commitment to St. Mary’s Health System. Every gift, no matter the size, plays an important role in supporting our mission to provide compassionate care to those in need.
