The Lewiston Farmers’ Market is dedicated to bringing fresh, local food to residents of the Lewiston/Auburn area. Shop for vegetables, fruit, baked goods, crafts, and more, and meet up with your friends and neighbors. The summer market runs Sundays from 10am to 1pm from the end of May through October at the Bates Mill 5 parking lot (corner of Main and Lincoln Streets in Lewiston). The winter market is held at the YWCA of Central Maine on 130 East Ave. in Lewiston from 10am to 12pm every Sunday from October through February. For more information, please contact 207-513-3848 or email, and visit the Market’s Facebook page.
If you are using SNAP/Food Stamps or WIC at any of our markets, you can participate in the Maine Harvest Bucks Program to receive bonus fruits and veggies for every dollar spent!
The Great Falls Buying Club (GFBC) is a group of people who get together to purchase Maine-sourced and other grocery goods in bulk quantities at generally lower-than-retail prices. The GFBC is made up of individuals and families from Lewiston-Auburn Maine and surrounding areas. The Club is run by members/volunteers and supported by St. Mary’s Nutrition Center. For more information, please email the club coordinator.
The Good Food Bus is a mobile food market, creating easier access to good food. We are a market on wheels with stops across Lewiston-Auburn and surrounding areas. Our goal is to bring food that is local, convenient, and affordable to the people of Maine.
We want to make the better choice the easier one. We believe that good food is the foundation of a vibrant and healthy community. We value Maine farmers and producers and prioritize sourcing most of our items locally.
The Good Food Bus provides direct and convenient access to fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, meat, bread, and other grocery items. We strive to help all Maine people put good food on their tables, with an emphasis on those individuals and families who are at greater risk for food insecurity.
The Good Food Bus is thankful to Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation for providing guidance and initial funding for the project.
