St. Mary’s Residences is a fully independent senior living community for adults aged 65 and older. It features 128 private, efficiency-style apartments where residents live on their own, without assisted living or nursing care. Each unit is a two-room suite with a private bathroom, offering comfort and the freedom to live independently.
St. Mary’s Residences is a community of 128 apartment units all containing one bedroom, living room, full bath and kitchenette with refrigerators. Tenants may provide microwaves, toaster ovens, and other plug-in appliances. There are several sizes mostly designed for single occupants with some larger units for couples.
There are 100 apartment units in the HUD moderate-rehab subsidy program and 28 units in the market rent (private-pay) category. Each of our five floors offers at least one full kitchen for use. For rates and other details, contact the St. Mary’s Residences’ office at 207-777-8832.

We have 11 card-operated laundry rooms with full size appliances, activity room, Marcotte Chapel, library, cafeteria (Campus Cuisine), and a climate-controlled tunnel access to the hospital and d’Youville Pavilion.
